The Refinery in Seminole Heights tantalizes and surprises

From my column in this week's South Shore News & Tribune, get the recipe for a fresh mint chimichurri spread on top of crusty sliced bread and served alongside bone marrow from The Refinery in Seminole Heights. Go here to read all about it!

Interesting restaurant. I recently came across a chimichurri recipe that I am dying to try some time.

As for bone marrow, did you know that in China, there are restaurants that specialize in this dish? Bones are normally slow-cooked in a soup. When I visited in 2001, the specialty restaurants were serving these delicacies(?) in soups, and you get a straw to suck the marrow out of the bones. Authentic Chinese restaurants in N. America serve these soups. I love the soups, but don't care for the bone marrow, but my family loves them.
